7. Dealing with clone products

My company released a new product - an Augmented Reality (AR) device, using our unique operator system (OS). With a futuristic design and a lot of applications available, our Oasis cube become the leader in the market. You can easily bring the Oasis cube anywhere, connecting with the Oasis lens that is just the size of a bean to work and entertain. At that time, our Oasis was unique and no company had the same idea, and our price although a little bit high, was still affordable for almost everyone.

A few months after we released Oasis, there were lots of clones of our product. They mainly come from China with similar designs and ideas but cheaper material builds. Of course, they were sold at lower prices when compared to our Oasis.

As a marketer, I realize the threat that our company has to face when more and more clone products try to join the race. To compete with them, we have to use an efficient strategy plan.

First, we highlight in every advertisement and statement that we are the original idea and that our OS was created only for AR which can bring our customers a better experience than any other brands that exist on the market at that time.

Secondly, we keep researching and conducting surveys to gain more customers' opinions. From these critics, we continue to update the system and upgrade the product. We will listen to all the ideas from customers and developers, and try to improve the users' experience with exclusive apps, games, and benefits.

Then, we will focus on customer service, and solve all the problems of our users as fast as we can. Giving more promo and discount policies to keep old customers and encourage more new customers to buy and use our products.
